Apps show on Unknown MID, but not on Kindle Fire HD 8.9

I recently bought a Kindle Fire HD 8.9, but already own an "Unknown MID" Android tablet with Amazon Appstore installed. I've developed 7 apps for the Amazon Appstore, all with exactly the same screen requirements, and all with exactly the same devices listed, but only 3 of these apps appear in the Appstore on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. However, they all appear in the Amazon Appstore on the "Unknown MID" Android tablet. Why?............................Phil

No satisfactory explanation has been given for why 4 out of 7 apps in the series are only visible on non-Kindle Fire tablets, but the other 3 apps with almost identical manifests and user interfaces are visible on Kindle Fire and other tablets. They have all been installed and successfully tested on my own Kindle Fire HD 8.9. The only answer I have received from Amazon is as follows:
Thank you for writing in. We consider a variety of factors as we evaluate each app for Kindle Fire Tablets, including the quality of experience the app offers and compatibility with the device. While our goal is to offer a broad and compelling assortment to Kindle Fire Tablet customers, not all apps available through Amazon Apps are currently available on Kindle Fire Tablets.
I've asked for a specific reason for the selective visibility, but have heard nothing more. I don't expect anyone here to be interested in the apps themselves, but would be grateful if anyone with a Kindle Fire (1st or 2nd generation), or Kindle Fire HD 7, could look for these web pages from their tablets, and tell me what they see there: -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009Y8OV3G -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005Z57L70 -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009Y8Y3CK -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005Z5CBTS -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009Y8Y41K -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ALTZEKQ -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D1D2OBQ

Hi Hollandnumerics, Thank you for your post. Since this is app specific query, could you please raise a ContactUs ( https://developer.amazon.com/help/contactus.html) and one of our support engineer would assist you further. I followed your advice and raised a ContactUs, but your support engineers were singularly unhelpful, merely sending me standard replies. I presume that, somewhere in the Amazon Appstore, there is information that controls whether an app is visible or invisible to a specific device. If that information is somehow related to how I've configured my apps, then knowing what that is will help me to update my apps to get them visible on Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablets. What I don't understand is why all my apps have nearly identical code and configuration, and only differ in the data displayed, but only the first 3 submitted are visible on Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablets. It would also be useful to know if the web pages for all the apps behave the same way on all 4 different Kindle Fire tablets, or it is just my HD 8.9 tablet that is showing any variation. If someone can just follow the links above, then that would be helpful for me to research the problem in the absence of Amazon engineer support?

The apps are still being shown in the AppStore as: 3 available on both Unknown MID + Kindle Fire HD 8.9, and 4 available on only Unknown MID. Please can this discussion be unlocked again, so that other forum members can contribute?
