Is it possible to extend the reader application itself on a Kindle Fire?

Is there an SDK or is it possible to extend the reader application used on a Kindle Fire? Our company provides sub-file differential security, and we are looking to extend our technology into the e-reader environment. We are looking to see if it is possible to create extensions around the base reader application itself. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Currently there is no SDK for reader on Kindle Fire devices. For more details on e-reader please refer to our Kindle documentation available at http://kdk.amazon.com/gp/public/gateway
