My understanding is if you place a single Alexa with a single Thermostat in a group, when you issue thermostat commands such as Alexa set the temperature to 66 degrees it will know to apply it to the group.
Is this correct, and if not is there any other way to associate a single Alexa to a single Thermostat smarthome device?

Yes, you can set the temperature on single thermostat and even in a group but currently setting a different mode on multiple thermostat via a group is not supported, but it’s a great idea. Please feel free to submit this as a feature request in our Feature Request Forum here:
