Please follow these steps to get Silk browser on your Emulator 1. Install Android SDK 2. Once it's been installed, if it doesn't autolaunch, go to start menu and find "SDK Manager" under "Android SDK Tools". 3. Install "Android 2.3.3 (API 10)" SDK package from available packages. 4. Once the package is installed, go to start menu and find "AVD Manager" (Android Virtual Device Manager) under "Android SDK Tools". 5. Click "New" 6. Configure the device as follows: 6.1) Name: KindleFire 6.2) Target: Android 2.3.3 - API Level 10 6.3) SD Card: Size: 100 MiB 6.4) Snapshot: Enabled 6.5) Skin: Resolution: 1024x600 6.6) Hardware: 6.6.1) Abstracted LCD Density: 160 6.6.2) Max VM application heap: 64 6.6.3) Device RAM size: 512 7. Click "Create AVD". 8. Go back to Android Virtual Device Manager, select the device that was just created and click "Start...". 9. Click "Launch" to start Android Emulator. 10. Launch browser from emulator to start testing.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I created an AVD as mentioned. When i invoke the AVD, it still has the default android browser(com.android.browser.apk) in it and not the Silk Browser.

Hi, I'm looking to do the same thing and followed the steps quoted above. When/how can I get the SILK browser running instead of the stock browser on an emulator? The standard sdk still does not appear to have silk as a part of the package.
