Fire TV stick remote goes out at random times...need help

Whenever im watching YouTube on my fire tv stick at first the remote works fine then after watching a few videos the remote will stop working, but the phone app still works. The only way I can fix it is to unplug the fire tv stick. This is really annoying. Is there anyway to fix this?
