New password input control?

I have seen the new password/PIN input control that comes up when I try to enter settings that uses the D-pad for the input which is great since it doesn't show the numbers. Is there a reusable control for this that I can access, or would I have to rebuild my own? I've been trying to find it in the docs and searching and I have no found it - though that could be my lack of imaginative search terms. Anyone know for sure if it is available or not, and if it is where the documentation or a sample is?

I'd even be happy with just a good way to setup a masked input for the FireTV. It works fine on phones and tablets with the soft keyboard, but the FireTV soft keyboard makes a visible string that it then puts into the masked password control which defeats the entire purpose.
