No space left on device - /cache

Hi, Some of my devices (Fire TV 1st generation) are still stuck on an older developer version (51.5.3.0_user_530042950) and I can not update nor perform a factory reset on these devices anymore. Even though an update to 5.0.3 is offered. Booting into recovery by using add reboot recovery yields me the following error messages: E:Error in /cache/recovery/log (No space left on device) E:Error in /cache/recovery/last_log (No space left on device) E:Error in /cache/recovery/last_history (No space left on device) Indeed running via adb shell df shows that the /cache partition has no space left. Is there some way to wipe the cache partition without privileged user rights?

Hi, Are you still having this problem? I've been unable to reproduce it with multiple setups. My first suggestion would be contacting customer support to see if they have any suggestions, but if they cannot help you, I'd also suggest trying to do a factory reset and deleting other files on the device to see if either of those solve it. Thanks, Nick

I could solve my issue by resetting to factory twice. Yet the first factory reset didn't help at all.
