Game runs smoother when device is touched?

We're doing some testing on the Fire 7 and have noticed the game runs smoother (very little to zero hiccups) when the device is being touched (and held down). As soon as the finger is let go from the device, the frame updating is not as smooth. I've seen this behavior on several apps, not just ours. Is this a known problem with the Fire 7 and does it affect the higher priced models as well? Thanks.

Hi 2DGuy,

Just for the sake of comparison, what kind of frame rates are you getting with device touched vs untouched? Have you looked into the logs for your game to see what could the issue be? What framework did you use to build your game? Thanks!

Jeesh..never had a notification of a response. Sorry.. it still happens on every game I play on my test device, not just mine. Frame rate is a steady 59-60fps on my apps and others most seem to be running at 30fps or 60fps. Simply hold your finger on the device and the little hiccups that cause slight update jitters seem to go away. With the finger off the device, the updating is a bit more jittery, etc. Granted on full screen 3D games this may not be noticeable, but for a 2D game with heavy use of scrolling, etc, that's when the those little stutters become more obvious.
