Fire TV HLS Sample/Example

Hi, i am working in an Amazon Fire TV app that needs to play a HLS video using its m3u8 from a server, now i know HLS streaming is supported thanks to the documentation and the forums, but i have not been able to figure it out on how the implementation of this would work with Fire TV etc... I would really appreciate and love to whoever can help me do this with a sample, example or even with some directions. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello encodidev, Since you sent us a request via Contact Us( https://developer.amazon.com/help/contactus.html) we sent you the materials that we would use for HLS streaming using the VisualOn SDK to the email address you provided.

Hi Doug, We are having some problems when trying to play any HLS videos using VisualOn (even the videos on the example that come with the zip file we were provided by email), we are getting a popup with message: File not supported error code 8000001d . Can we get some directions?

Hello encodidev, If what we saw within the Contact Us case is correct, it appears you are doing this using an m3u8 playlist rather than playing the files directly. This would not be a supported configuration. Could you please try to load the files directly and see if that works as opposed to having a playlist?
