Fire TV 1st gen noise on TOSLINK stereo output (not Rebook compliant ?)

Hi not sure if this is the proper forum for my question, my apologies if not. Situation: When trying to connect AFTV 1st Gen optical output to my amplifier I have a noise all the time that make it unusable. My amp is purely analog so I use an audio DAC to convert PCM signal. The whole chain (besides AFTV) works perfectly fine as replacing the AFTV with my Yamaha CD Player as source makes all works nicely. I already tried Dolby off and all the available options on AFTV audio menu with no succes. I suspect the AFTV stereo output does NOT conform to 2ch LPCM, each one at 44.1 KHz / 16-bit ( RedBook) Am I right ? if so, this is a desing thing or a bug ? if not, any other suggestions ??? KRs, Jorge.
