Amazon Drive no longer rendering CR2 images (415 error for previews on newly uploaded files)

It appears Amazon Drive (and Amazon Photos) no longer renders CR2 images. Customer service insists Amazon Drive doesn't support rendering of CR2 images, but this can't be right.

All CR2 images uploaded on or before October 30th, 2017 render fine (and still show the preview images), however the next time I made an upload (December 26th, 2017 and beyond), they no longer render.

NEF files still render fine.

Notice files Oct 30 and before are ok. Downloaded old 'working preview' images and reuploading them causes the same problem, no previews rendered. checksums of new uploaded files when I download them again are ok. It seems to be a problem with the rendering pipeline.

Have tested against multiple Drive accounts as well and it's not an issue specific to an account.

Seems as though newly uploaded CR2's result in preview links that give a 415 response code.

I'm also a developer and using amazon drive's api responses to render uploaded file information, and the fact that CR2's no longer generate previews has broken my implementation. Why has this behavior changed and newly uploaded CR2 previews result in 415 responses?

I initially attempted to contact cloud drive via your consumer site, but have received no valid response (only a statement saying this was never supported, where clearly it was and the behavior has changed). My example post screenshot was only to illustrate that this is also happening on the main drive page, and is not my implementation issue.

I have also tested against multiple accounts, and all of them are returning 415 error codes for previews for newly uploaded CR2 files.

Hi there,

That file format is recognized by Amazon Drive and Prime Photos as a photo file; however, file preview is not possible.
