Select Gender / Color for Thumbnail display

Please add a feature for us to choose what gender and color will be displayed for the thumbnail. While the color seems like a no brainer there are times where I want a specific gender to show but I would also like the shirt to be available to all.

Yes! While we may want a design to be available on multiple colours and on all gender/size options there is often a skew in a design towards male/female/kids and regularly 1 of the colors is the best for "engagement" and enticing people to click into the listing even though 'some' may want it on other colors the primary advertising image should be set to what the designer feels is the best possible look - if after say 20+ sales it turns out that Amazon customers are actually buying a particular color or gender/sizing then the existing Amazon automation of switching the listing to the "most popular purchased" can come into play, but initial advertising and click-thru engagement of the listing can be heavily affected by a random automated color selection that is for a less popular color option.

I agree with this wholeheartedly! My biggest frustration is when I make a shirt available in men's, women's and youth, even though it will mostly be adults who would buy it, and yet the kids version is the default display.

Another 2-weeks have passed and STILL no update from Amazon, @Elizabeth@Amazon you told someone to post this as a feature request if sellers want it, it has been here for a YEAR now, and shows as reviewed, so what's the situation?

When will this be integrated given it was 'reviewed' quite some time ago??

I agree. Sometimes it looks terrible and inconsistent. Wow! I see that was addressed a year ago!

I don't know why this request has not been implemented yet, it would lead to greater sales. I am tired of seeing dark heather gray as the featured color from the start. No matter what other colors I choose, and no matter what order, if heather gray is one option I choose, it's ALWAYS the color of the thumbnail shirt, and not the best for contrast if a shopper is faced with a page of thumbnails. Sometimes I specifically do not select this color for this reason.

It's particularly odd given that Amazon forum staff are telling other people who've posted separate requests for this to post a feature request...when there's been one for over a year with loads of support!
