$0 shirts for sale

Good evening Merch family! I would like to suggest that we be able to have the ability to post shirts for $0. This would mean that they would incur a negative royalty (as Amazon will still charge the creator for making the shirt). The amount could be deducted from sales at the end of the month, with a credit card/PayPal payment method on file as backup just in case the creator doesn't make any sales during that month. This would enable the ability to use shirts as free promotional items but still be created on demand. Thanks!

Hello - To make sure I am duplicating the suggestion, let me re-iterate what I think you are suggesting-

You are suggesting Amazon allow tees for $0 (free). So, hypothetically, 10,000+ are ordered as they are free and who doesn't want a free shirt?

Amazon has bought the shirts, printed and shipped them.

We probably see a huge delay in shipping our orders as the free tees being shipped have overtaken the plant.

End of the month, the designer has no royalties and lo and behold, the credit card is declined.......

Or - are you suggesting the link would just be for you to order promo shirts for you to do give-aways etc? If so, simply list at a few cents above minimum and at the end of the next month your money will then come back to you. No huge programming task, no concern of a bad credit card, no additional work for Amazon.

I'm trying to grasp the benefit of the idea, over to you for input. Thank you.

Hey FocusedOnResults! LOL! Ok, I have to admit it was a good concept until you shotgunned it with the bad credit card aspect. And I was also a bit naive to believe "Why would anyone do that and risk their Merch account?" Looks like I didn't consider a few things with this post and I'll have to thank you for being a great sounding board... even if I did bang my head on it a few times... LOL!

Hello - I had hoped I didn't sound unfriendly or rude.

My career has included going into corporations and de-bugging known (and unknown) problems so I look at things a bit differently than most.

Kindest regards and best success with Merch. :)
