Use Alexa Thank you as a stop / cancel Command

I had the discussion with some of my friends which also use their alexa at their home and what could be improved and so we came up with this idea that it would be more natural to just say "Alexa thank you" to stop a timer or a reminder.

For instance the Thank you or ( Thanks ? ) would propably not used for much else and in the context of a timer or a reminder it would be the appropriate thing to answer a human wouldn't it ? So it would overall be more natural than just saying Alexa stopp.

So maybe you can implement that as an alternative to stop in the context of a timer or a reminder ending. Usually this kinda breaks the immersion of talking to a person when you kinda have to yell stop at her to do the right thing.

Anyway keep up the good work. Looking forward for your replies

Came here to say exactly the same thing. It's only a machine but I still feel rude saying "Alexa, stop.", it's like telling off a naughty child!

I agree totally, I would prefer to say thank you as it seems rude to say stop when you asked for the reminder.

I searched several times for a way to accomplish this because I naturally say "Alexa, thank you" when reminders or notifications are triggered. This should be an alternative to "Alexa, stop".

I am so with these others. I can not be rude and I feel very rude saying stop or even not saying thank you when Alexa does something for me.
