Rearranging items on Alexa's "Lists"

It would be really nice if you were able to rearrange items on your Shopping List. I tend to add items to my shopping list as I think of them, which puts them in a very random order (my list might read: Avacados - Duct tape - Vegatable oil - Dish soap - Green onions - AA batteries - etc). I think most people go through a grocery store in a specific pattern... especially if it's a store you visit often. If you could rearrange your shopping list to fit the pattern on which you go through your store, you wouldn't have to keep scrolling back and forth through the list to see what you need... you could just go right down the list in order, checking off the items as you pick them up

When creating a Rotine in the APP there is the facility to drag actions up and down.

Surely the bright sparks at Amazon could use this code with lists too ?

I agree I have a pattern when shopping and like my shopping list app that allows me to rearrange the order of items before I head to the store. I don’t see myself using the Amazon list because of the lack of features.

Agree! I'm using a different app until alexa will let me sort. Hope they add that feature.

Amazon please make this idea happen! Surely it can't be too difficult to add such a simple utility to the appthat would make life so easy!

Agree 100%. I also add things as I think of them but then have to export to another app to rearrange them in a more usable order. Would love to be able to do in Alexa alone.

Yes please... this is a great idea. How long before we get it? Or perhaps also categorise entries too. I go to different shops/stalls for items. If I could filter the list by category, that would help.

In relation to categories (different stores) I create separate lists... I have a Grocery List a "Walmart" list a "Camp List" and add items to the appropriate list.

It's been 2 years since the idea of being able to rearrange items on a list and it's still a great idea! I don't add items to the list all at one time. If oranges are at the bottom of the list and apples are somewhere in the middle, 3/4 of the time I have to back track to get something I mssed!

OMG, this thread is over 2 years old and we still can’t rearrange items in lists. Hey Amazon, this is a BASIC function and not having it makes the app completely useless for lists. I may as well tape a piece of paper to the fridge for the family to add items.

I agree - an unordered shopping list is worthless.
