Has the Japanese consumption tax been included in the price of my app?

Yes, when you set your price, in the Amazon.jp marketplace, on your app submission (under the “Availability & Pricing” tab), the list price is inclusive of the Japanese Consumption tax. Therefore, when you enter your app’s price, you should not add extra to cover the consumption tax.

For Example:

If you would like your customers to pay 100 JPY for your app, you should simply enter in 100 JPY for the price of your app, not 108 JPY (list price + 8%).

Note: These taxes are deducted from the list price when calculating Royalties.
