Summary:
Currently, we support EFT payments to bank accounts located in Hong Kong. Below you will find information on two common issues developers have when setting up their Hong Kong bank payment information:
Error: Invalid characters found in the bank routing number:
If you receive the above error message, it is likely that you are trying to enter the SWIFT Code for your bank. SWIFT Codes will not work in this field as it is not the same as the Bank/Institution Number. The Bank/Institution Number format for Hong Kong is a 6 digit number (Bank Code/Clearing Code+Branch Code) with no letters or spaces. If you are not sure of your Bank/Institution number, please contact your bank to get this information as well as to make sure the bank can support EFT Payments.
You do NOT need to include Branch Code to the "Account number" field.
We do not support Wire Transfers to Hong Kong banks.
Please be aware that EFT payments and Wire Transfers are not the same thing. At this time, we do not support Wire Transfers to banks in Hong Kong. Therefore, you will only be able to receive your payments electronically if your bank can accept EFT payments. If you are unsure, please contact your bank to verify they can support payments via EFT. If your bank is unable to support EFT, you will need to choose “Check Payments” as your payment option.
Please remember that if your payment information is not accurate, your earnings payments may be delayed, rejected, or lost as a result. To reduce the chance of failed payments, please always keep your payment information up-to-date. Your developer account administrators can always update the company’s account payment information under “Settings” > “Payment Information.”
