To perform a full and accurate review of your skill's core functionality, working test credentials are absolutely necessary. During the review process, our certification team will perform account linking with your provided username and password.
To add or update your current testing credentials, please follow these steps:
- Open the skill you want to update in the developer console: https://developer.amazon.com/alexa/console/ask
- Switch to the "Distribution" tab.
- Click on "Privacy & Compliance".
- Scroll down to the "Testing Instructions" field.
- Enter a username and password for your skill's account linking.
- Click on "Save and continue" to keep your changes.
- Resubmit your skill for certification when you're ready.
Please understand that these steps are mandatory for any skill with an account linking feature, because the certification team needs to verify all intent responses.
Also remember to share testing credentials for every locale where you want to publish your skill, since all language versions will be tested individually. As long as the content remains the same across all supported locales, you can provide identical testing credentials.
Once the account linking is completed, the website must confirm the successful login of the user. For example: "<Skill Name> has been successfully linked".
