Summary:
The Future Release Date feature allows you to set a specific date to release your app or app version update to the Amazon App Store. This gives you greater ability to coordinate your app’s release to “Live” status with your company’s promotional campaigns and media releases. Please note that this feature will allow you to set when your app will begin the publication process. It does not indicate when your app will be “Live” in the Amazon App Store. It must be added before your app or app update is submitted for the review and testing process. Once the Future Release Date is reached, your app is in the publication process and no further changes are possible.
How To
To set a Future Release Date to an unpublished app or app update, please log into your developer’s account and go to “Apps & Services” > the app in question > “Availability & Pricing” tab.
At “When would you like publishing to start?” please select the date and time that you would like your app to start the publishing process. (Please note that the field is in the Pacific Time zone; if needed, adjust your publication time accordingly.) Please then complete and submit your app submission for review.
Once your app passes the review process, it will remain in “Approved” status on your developer’s account until the Future Release Date is reached. Please be aware that during this time, you will not be able to edit your app's metadata, such as screenshots, pricing, or product description; this information can only be edited if your app submission is in "Ready to Submit" or "Live" status.
If you need to change your Future Release Date on an “Approved” app, please go to https://forums.developer.amazon.com/articles/208/how-do-i-update-my-future-release-date.html for further information.
