The Amazon Mobile Ads API can be used alongside other ad networks. The secondary ad network is effectively being used as a contingency plan. In the event that an Amazon Mobile Ad is not filled, another ad network can be used to take its place. This practice should lead to a higher overall fill rate and additional revenue. Most ad networks support the ability to handle a no fill event, allowing developers to daisy chain several ad network together.
